Who knew this place was even here? Visibility from the street is awful. It's waaaay in the back of a strip mall on Harbor Dr. the first right once you arrive to Key Biscayne. If you see a 7-11 from the street, this is the same strip mall...you just need to go all the way back. It's kind of like Key Biscayne's Whole Foods or Fresh Market. Obviously, it's a lot smaller, but they have some nice things. Olive bar, bakery, wine, etc. Not a bad option to grab a bite or some groceries here.

I usually order (catering) sandwiches here when I have to feed a lot of people. The sandwiches are always good. There is enough to go around and everyone is happy.

An alternative to greasy food. Great deli with delicious sandwiches. Simple, easy, done.

This gourmet market was a nice find for us after a long hot day out just a few months ago. We've designated it our spot in Key Biscayne every time we come for a run. They have thousands of items to choose from. You are sure to find at least one thing you love here. Here is a list of some items they offer; Hot food bar -with rotating menu selections Cold food bar (salad, fruit) Cold salad bar (ie Pasta & Potato salads) Full deli Deli sandwiches made to order Fresh squeezed OJ Espresso bar Packaged gourmet items- jams, jellies, sauces, spreads, crackers, etc. Cheeses by the pound Olive bar ($10.95/lb) Fresh produce (with cool things like dragon fruit, champagne grapes, figs, etc) Bottled/Can beverages - domestic/imported, novelty Dairy- milk, yogurt Bottled beer and wine Frozen desserts- ice cream etc Bakery- cookies, brownies, galettes, poundcakes, merengues, empanadas, tequeños, and so much more. They lose a star because as much as I like this place, having so many items means a slower turnaround rate = everything cannot possibly be fresh all of the time...and it isn't :(

One of the best gourmet groceries in Miami, it's difficult to beat the Golden Hog. Sandwich lovers: unbelievable sandwiches here... Try the Miguelito if you like turkey subs. Gourmet utems: Pata Negra(prosciutto on steroids) Great cheeses as well (try the 6 month aged MANCHEGO Spanish cheese) Fresh squ Oj, great desserts and more.

I stopped in on a Sunday morning following a long jog up and down the Rickenbacker Causeway. I was searching for a place to eat breakfast and stumbled upon this place. It's a quaint and smallish version of a farmer's market with a gourmet grocery section, as well as deli and bakery stations. I ordered a French Ham sandwich from the deli, with cheese on whole wheat, which was pretty good. It isn't by any stretch a huge sandwich, but nonetheless delicious. I inhaled it pretty quickly. Its grocery store has some of the gourmet items you would see at larger farmer's markets, such as Boy's in Delray and Bedner's in Boyton Beach. While the size of this place pales in comparison to those places, it's a perfect size for Key Biscayne. It isn't often that I travel to this section of South Florida. Typically, it'll be for two reasons: I took out-of-towners to the Miami Seaquarium or I attended the Sony Erickson tennis event, which I love by the way. I will likely make it a point to stop in and order a sandwich to go.

The best tequenos and coffee in town. A bit pricey but its worth it. Also the fruits and veggies are orgánic and always super fresh. I have been in also for the food buffet and the main dishes are usually very good.

Alternative to regular grocery store. Has a diversity of hot dishes daily. Gray deli and bakery as well

Great stuff but at these prices you should get better service and I'm not exaggerating I have said both times I left I would not be back. However the convenient location makes it hard to pass up if your in a jam.

Bought a whole lovely looking torte from their pastry counter for a big birthday party. After the candles and singing, we cut the servings and found the whole cake completely spoiled, sour and even moldy on the bottom. It must have been on the shelf a very long time. It spoiled the whole party. Thanks Golden Hog. Beware.

The quality of food has diminished. What used to be delicious hot food, is now sub par. The sandwiches are still good and the service is ok, but the magic seems to have faded.

Used to love this place. I give it 3 stars because the bakery is great! I love the Vietnamese steak sandwich but they don't consistently have it..I used to go there often until a few months ago. There was a young guy working there with a beard. I asked for a toasted sandwich. He made the sandwich and gave it to me in toasted. I reminded him it was supposed to be toasted..he rolled his Eyes turned his back and proceed to toast it and wrap it up. When we got home my sandwich unwrapped the sandwich and proceeded to eat it..he found a hair..he opened the sandwich and it was covered with tons of little hairs..I have no idea why it had so much hair (the young guy had a beard) but it was very gross. When I called to complain the manager did not seemed to worried. We never ate there again..

Perfect Catering Solution! I hosted a party at Crandon Park this weekend and needed food for my discerning palate. Even though it was a kids party, I like to take care of the parents and make sure they are happy. Besides, I love food and want to eat well too! Not many choices on the Key that deliver, so I took a chance on the Golden Hog and really could not be happier! Leo took his time to explain the menu and presentation in detail. When I called to place the order, he wasn't there, but my order was taken and Leo arrived on time the next day with 3 beautiful sandwich platters. Every person at the party asked where I got the sandwiches. EVERY person! Even the kids ditched the pizza and went for the sandwiches instead. I am honestly so happy that I found the Golden Hog and would recommend their catering without hesitation. I must say that in the chaos of the party, I forgot to tip Leo altogether. How embarrassing! I hope this review and all the recommendations I gave over the weekend more than make up for my terrible oversight. I cant wait to visit the Golden Hog in person and enjoy a meal at their place as well. By the way, I ordered the Roast beef, Veggie 02, Turkey and Spanish sandwiches. No variations- straight from the menu, these are great choices for a varied range of tastes. Best of luck Golden Hog! You guys really made my party a huge success! Thank you!!

Today I went to get coffee at this place which I do not know very well yet seemed very nice. As I was waiting for my turn to be waited on another man approached the counter and asked the lady for tea. I interrupted and said I was here first, yet the woman kept on waiting on this man and very rudely said to hd on. I could not believe the lack of customer service culture in this place. I turned around and left to go get a nice coffee in the cuban place around the corner. Update: Many thanks to the owner for immediately addressing this review. He contacted me and apologised and also took the required actions to resolve this issue. Really appreciate your interest. I will look forward to come back into the store the next time I am in Miami!

KB needs a Fresh market, yet The a Golden Hog consistently under-delivers . Bruised fruits, broken eggs, dirty floors and tables and indifferent, often rude check out staff. Owner needs to be more visible, hire people who want to excel and fire the laggards. It's your money and reputation. Time to step up and raise the bar

Dear Golden Hog, Why it's taken me this long to discover you, I don't know. But what I do know is that I am eternally grateful that I did, because lunch on the Key has never been the same since! A good friend of mine told me she got the most amazing soup here one day before her ballet class that she teaches to a local school. The next day, not knowing what I wanted to eat, I decided to drive over here and give you a look. I fell in love with the layout of your store, since you are both a market for specialty & gourmet items, such as fruits/veggies, dairy products, organic snacks, and even a great selection of "weird" beers, and you serve a buffet of freshly-made hot food items, that look absolutely delicious and are purchased "by the pound"; so one just has to make themselves a plate and take it to the cashier to be weighed. There's also a bakery counter with tons of delicious desserts, from cupcakes to mousse. The deli counter has a great selection of meats and cheeses, as well as cold salads (egg, tuna, chicken, shrimp), crab legs, seaweed salad, and other things I'm forgetting right now. Anything can be made into a sandwich, and there's a variety of breads to choose from. I've enjoyed every sandwich I've tried, from jamon serrano to the egg salad. All of the ingredients are so fresh and the sandwich so large, I always have enough to take some home to my fiancee, who loves it all just as much. On more than one occasion I've run into coworkers here, which has been nice since it's allowed for an impromptu lunch meeting. Definitely my new favorite place for lunch! Thanks for the wonderful meals and great experience. It is a pleasure coming here. All the best, SabrinaAnna*

Its a small farmers market in Key Biscayne, the food selection and deli area pretty good and from time to time they have Free brownie samplers at the register. I like the price as food is bought per pound you can end up with a lunch meal with soup, veggies, meat and dessert for under 12 dollars.

Best beer selection I've seen in the area...Rouge, Dogfish ect. Pastries, deli, gourmet sauces and international chocolates and candies.
